APA-Accra (Ghana) International football stars of the Ivorian senior national team, the Elephant, are expected to draw large soccer fans in Ghana as they lock horns with Benin at Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, APA has learnt here on Saturday.

Ivorian stars such as Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalu, and Didier Zakora who arrived in Ghana last Tuesday in preparation for their match with Benin are making headlines in the Ghanaian media.

Cote d'Ivoire is playing Benin in Accra as their home game because of the ongoing political crisis that has resulted in influx of refugees from that country to Ghana and other neighbouring countries.

Drogba has told Ghanaian media that they would win the game because Ghana was their second home.

Meanwhile, members of the Ghana Supporters Union had declared their unflinching support for the Ivorians on the ground that the Ivorian supporters threw their weight behind Ghana's local Black Stars during the CHAN tournament in Sudan and they were poised to reciprocate that in Accra on Sunday.
